Charles Jimmy Bailey

Charles Jimmy Bailey, age 81, of Erwin, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Charles is a son of the late Garfield and Hildred (Allen) Bailey. Mr. Bailey enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding 4-wheelers. Charles attended Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by loving wife, Anna Lee Williams Bailey; a brother, Junior Bailey and wife Shirley; sisters, Juanita Banner and Jolene Whitson; special uncle and aunt, Jack and Bertha Kegley; and nephews, Gary and Greg Cash and Daniel Bailey.Charles Jimmy Bailey leaves behind to cherish his memory: daughter, Teresa Bailey; son, Jeffrey Bailey and wife, Jolana; grandchildren, Kimmie Tipton and husband, Willie, Jason Decker, Shannon Adcock and husband, Jeremy, and Lia Bailey and Devin Wright; great grandchildren, Conner Adcock and Carson Adcock; brother, Max Bailey; and sister, Loretta Edwards.The family respectfully request the honor of your presences as we offer tribute and remember the life of Charles Jimmy Bailey in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2023 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend David Crutchfield and Curtis Engle will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 PM and will continue until service time on Friday. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Evergreen Cemetery. Those who wish to attend the graveside service will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 10:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
